Hello all, and welcome to my humble little abode out in the ether. My name is Katie, I’m 32 years old and I live in the gorgeous (and yes, very wet) Pacific Northwest with my fiancé and two fur babies who make up my world. Oreo is my little black and white kitten who thinks chasing bugs makes him the king of the backyard, and Link is my goofy German Shepard who looks much tougher than he is actually capable of being. I have a day job working in the court system- many times the stories I wind up getting from there are much stranger than the fiction that I write. I’m an avid reader, devouring any and all books I can get my grubby little fingers on- all genres welcome. I’ve always known that I wanted to be a writer someday, there was never a question in my mind that my life would somehow revolve around the written word- I need it like I need air to breath. I dabble in many genres, though I work primarily in fiction, occasionally leaning towards fantasy. It wasn’t until this past year that I decided it was time to take action and really take my work more seriously. I’ve always had a slight fear of letting others read my work- not exactly the type of thing that lends itself to professional writing. And thus came this blog, the first step I needed to break out of my cocoon and step into the life I want to live. In these pages you will find my trials, tribulations, adventures and many questions. I am a bit random, occasionally painfully awkward, and a nerd straight to my core. So cheers, to our new adventure, I hope you enjoy the ride as much as I do.
